California living and adventures in creativity

Jan 22

Brief break in the rain…..

We have had heavy rain storms all over California this week, and all this rain has made things incredibly green. This in itself is such a refreshing change since California has been in a drought for several years. As I mentioned in my previous post, I attribute my first daffodil bud to all of this lovely rain.

Just a short time ago, it stopped raining and blue sky is now peaking through the clouds. When I went to check on our bed of daffodils, I was met with this gorgeous blossom still heavy with drops of rain. What an amazing vibrant yellow! I say that they should name a crayon color “daffodil”.

If you didn’t check out my mini treasury with daffodils as the inspiration, take a look here.

Spring is around the corner for sure….. Have a great weekend!
