Lavender in bloom.

I planted a bunch of lavender next to our garage, and for the past 2 years it has looked less than thriving.  To my surprise, this year it has exploded!  I had forgotten that June is the month it blossoms (I was thinking it bloomed all year long), and what a beautiful surprise.  I’m so glad I didn’t pull it out when it was looking less than healthy.  Anyhow, it is one of my favorite plants of all  time, and perfect for California given our water shortage, and it attracts bees.

For fun, I created a “lavender” inspired treasury on Etsy.  This is a self curated collection of items which have lavender as a common denominator.  What lovely stuff!
