The crumble competition
So I have been in search of the perfect crumble combination for a couple of months now. We have tried rhubarb strawberry (one of my favorites), just rhubarb, plum and raspberry, ollalieberry rhubarb, and now, just plain ollalieberry. Personally, I think we may have a winner! The plain ollalieberry is frankly so amazing it makes everyone want to know what this new “berry” is all about. We need to thank Oregon State University for this amazing fruit. Generically the ollalieberry is a cross between a blackberry and a raspberry but apparently it is a little more complex than that if you refer to Wikipedia’s ollalieberry pedigree.
I highly recommend getting your hands on this wonderful, juicy, tart berry and making a crumble, or any baked good. You will forever remember the ollalieberry after experiencing it.
