Our beautiful roses have just started to bloom.  They are a unique combination of orange, yellow and pink and are in bloom from April thru almost November! We are fortunate to live very close to the beautiful historic Rose Garden which was established in 1932 (originally it was a prune orchard).  It is a gorgeous little oasis in the middle of a residential area.  When there were cut backs in the San Jose budget affecting the up keep of  the Rose Garden, volunteers rallied and have returned the Rose Garden to it’s original glory.  It’s a great example of the power of volunteers!  They have a great website and blog:  http://www.friendssjrosegarden.org/blog.htm.
